Frequently Asked QuestionsWe are proud to offer professional grooming services to any and all breeds of dogs no matter the size, shape or temperment.
What Vaccinations Do You Require? We require your pets be up to date on the rabies vaccine. We will ask you for the name of your veterinarian and call them to confirm the date the rabies vaccine will expire. We keep all records electronically and do not require you to bring in a copy for our records. What Type of Shampoo Do You Use? We use a shampoo called Tropiclean. An all natural, soap free shampoo that will not remove topical flea preventatives such as Frontline or Advantage. May I Bring My Own Shampoo? Yes, however we do not offer a discount when owners supply thier own shampoo. More often than not it is a vet prescribed shampoo and require more time to apply and must be allowed to soak on the pet. Even when it is simply a prefered shampoo the application process takes much more time as it is not part of our shampoo tank system. What If I Do Not Want A Bath, Just A Haircut? Unfortunatly we no longer allow just a haircut. We have in the past and have since stopped because the pet(s) would still be dirty, have shampoo in the coat, or allowed to dry naturally. All of which greatly affects the outcome of the haircut. For the best possible haircut your pet should be freshly bathed, blown out, undercoat fully removed and dried properly with no shampoo left in the coat. Unfortuanatly most pet parents are unable to do all these things properly resulting in a more difficult haircut for us to do and inability to do the quality of work for you that you have come to expect. Can I Stay While You Groom My Pet? Yes, of course. However since our turn around time is only 2-3 hours we are unable to do most pets straight thru therefore you can expect, if you stay, to be here for that amount of time. Can I Help Hold My Pet While You Groom Him/Her? Most dogs are not as well behaved for us with mom and dad holding them as they would be for us on their own, so unless your pet is a senior and is incapable of holding thier own weight for long periods of time (an hour or so) we prefer that, if you would like to stay, that you wait in the waiting area. You can still see your pets' entire grooming process from start to finish from our waiting area. What If I Don't Want My Dog In A Cage? We are able to accomidate just about any request, different requests can change the pets' stay. We are more than happy to let your pet "air dry" in the daycare room while he/she waits for their turn on the grooming table however it may mean a bit longer stay with us. Your pet spends minimal time in a kennel. The time they do spend in a kennel is time spent with fans blowing directly on them, this cuts the drying time down. Not spending that time in the kennel with fans means they take longer to blow dry when it is their turn on the grooming table. What Type Of Dryers Do You Use While They Are In Crates? Simple box fans. We understand many pet parents' concern about overheating while in a kennel with dryers on them. Which is why we do not use any kennel dryers with heat elements. We also use wire kennels so air flows nicely thru the kennels and room. Pets are never fully enclosed and we have individual air conditioners in each room of the salon. Still have questions? Give us a call or email. We will be happy to help you in any way we can! |
